MegaphoneGreetings! If you are reading this initial blog post, you are helping us to make history. We here at Metal Tech Industries have decided to make our voice heard and jump on the blogging bandwagon, and this is our first crack at it. (Please go easy on us!)

What You Need To Know About Us

Metal Tech Industries (MTI, to those that prefer acronyms) is located in Iowa Falls, Iowa. We are a manufacturer of metal-reinforced gasket material, and over the last few years have expanded our product line to include heat shields. We have been in business for 21 years and counting, and are on the verge of relocating to a brand new facility that is almost 3 times the size of our current operation. That’s enough about us, but if you’d like to read more, please visit our home page at mtigasket.com.

Why We Are Blogging

Well, plain and simple, we want to educate our readers so they can make informed decisions. We know there are a lot of decisions to make where gaskets are concerned, and there are a lot of questions people ask in order to arrive at their decision. We know that you can easily pick up the phone to ask your trusted gasket material supplier or fabricator, but for those of you that are in the market for a trusted supplier (clearing throat…check out MTI’s home page at mtigasket.com) or just prefer to do some of your research online, you have found the right place!

Why You Should Read This Blog

Our #1 goal is to be your trusted online educational resource. We are going to address many of the common gasket questions (material, design, performance), as well as some of the other not so common questions. If you have a specific question, please let us know – we’d be happy to answer – it might just be a big enough question that we decide to feature it in an upcoming blog post. If you’re asking, there are probably many others that have had the same question at some point. We are also going to address topics on the full spectrum of complexity – we want to be a resource for everyone – experienced engineers, new engineers, fabricators, purchasers, buyers (to name a few) and YOU!

Our aim is to give you honest, straightforward, non-biased information. Yes, there are benefits to each and every gasket material. No, there is not one type of gasket material that will work in every application. We would love to have each and every one of you as a customer, but the fact is, not every single one of you has a need for metal-reinforced gasket material. With that said, we want to educate and arm you with information to get you moving in the right direction for your application. In the end, that’s all that really matters.

Class begins next week – tell your friends! If you are interested in subscribing to Sealed-In’s blog posts, email sales@mtigasket.com.
